Scooter the pug was dognapped from a park on Christmas Eve near Marsh and Midway in Dallas (North Haven Park). Rob and Kim, the owners received a letter from a lady who admitted to taking Scooter and giving him to her daughter for Christmas. The lady was in Dallas visiting (from Tulsa) for Christmas and her daughter lives with her dad possibly here in Dallas.
If you have any information that might lead to Scooter’s return home please E-mail Kim and Rob. They do not want to press charges and they are willing to buy the girl a Pug of her own. They just want their baby back.

I’m hoping you get your Scooter back soon and I think that you are very generous to offer a new dog in place him. I own a pug and they such special dogs!
Hi Laura, I am not Scooter’s parent. But I, too, exerienced a dognapping a coupelof years ago that came to a good end because of publicity, so I am hoping that, by spreading the word, Rob and Kim will be as fortunate. Someone out there knows about this little dog.
This just makes me so mad. Let me know & have gun, will travel.
I’m so sad to think that Scooter is missing his family. We have a 2 year old pug, Ottis and a day without Ottis is like a day without sunshine. I have thought of Scoter and his family often since hearing the story on the Today Show. I pray for his safe return. I know what special pets pugs are, full of personality and love. I Iike to think of them as fur people. Praying for his safe return. Best wishes from Indiana.
I’m with prairiewoman! With all this news coverage, WHY isn’t this dog back in his rightful home yet?
I have 4 pugs so I know how special they are, I pray that someone will come forward. I feel your pain, I just don’t know how or why anyone could be so cruel. May God Bless you with your baby back.
Anything new on Scooter? Has he been found yet?
Nope, Scooter is still out there somewhere.
This story has bothered me on so many levels. Scooter’s story has received a lot of publicity and it is surprising that the little girl’s father hasn’t figured this out. How would a supposed “down and out” woman have a purebred Pug who obviously has been well taken care of? Wouldn’t the Dad be suspicious of this woman and the circumstances? Have local vets been contacted? Posters put up near schools? This little girl has to be talking about this new dog! I hope Scooter gets back to his Mom and Dad—taking a pet away from his family is animal cruelty regardless of him being “played with” and “having lots of toys”. If someone took my dog, I would be a crazy person. Here’s hoping that someone, somewhere does the right thing!
The story of Scooter has touched my family. I go out on the internet every week just to find updates. We have a 2 year old pug named Marley, she is definitely a member of our family. It would be like losing a child if someone took her. Pugs ARE special! I pray that someone in the little girl’s family steps forward and give Scooter back.
You are so right! Someone has to know where this doggy is. it had had too much publicity for that not to be the case.
My parents have a baby (I mean a pug) so I know how special these family members are. I hope Scooter has been finally returned home. If anyone knows please share. My thoughts and prayers are with Scooter and his family.
Any news yet? I have not been able to go a day without thinking about Scooter and how he probably misses his family and wonders when he will see them again. Just writing this makes me cry, because we have 2 pug fur babies and would be lost without them and they would be scared without us too! Let me know if you find anything out!
