Granny’s visit came to a close today as Roseanna and I got up early so we could take her to the airport. The weather, although VERY COLD, was clear today, so after all of the goodbyes, she departed on time from Newark and Roseanna and I headed down to the New Jersey shore so that I could show her Sandy Hook.  I wish it had not been so cold because it would have been nice to do a lot more walking along the beach than we did, but it was in the upper 20’s with a very strong wind.

Me at the Statue of Liberty

After the Sandy Hook excursion we made a quick run through Liberty State Park to see Lady Liberty before heading through the Holland tunnel to Manhattan.  It was Roseanna’s first time in New York, and I think
she enjoyed it.    We stopped in at Carnegie Deli, one of my favorite hole-in-the-wall joints in the city.

I see that not only did you shave, you made it to Walmart to get contacts. I was getting used to you in glasses. Your face looks kinda bare now.

You guys should start submitting these videos to Travel Channel. You might get a gig. Be sure to put the Tony & Victoria thing on your resume. You could have a future in broadcasting.

Yes, I did shave the decorations on my face not that it is starting to get a little thinner such that I don’t have to hide it as much!!! I havent been wearing glasses for over a year except that sometime last week I did something to my left eye and had to wear glasses for a week or so. I am back to normal now…. it would help if I would clean the contacts more often.

Maybe we should get an agent. Let me lose a few more pounds first.

I found the BEST contact cleaning stuff. I have actually been wearing them more because they are comfortable with this stuff. It’s called Clear Care. It has peroxide or something in it that fizzes.

Of course in your case, it’s not what you use, but just taking them out of your eyes to clean them in the first place. We recently saw our friend’s son that got an eye infection last year. He has about 20% vision in that eye. They will probably do a cornea transplant at some point.

Roseanna, you should have let loose with a war hoop, would have thrown those NY cabbies for a loop. They probably would have thought they were under attack….LOL Looks like you guys are having a blast. Loved the video and pictures.
